A fun and relaxed engagement photo session around London with Alitha & James
Alitha and James' story began in the heart of London, they met whilst living and working in the city. Originally from Australia, James and Alitha built a life together in the UK before eventually returning back home to Australia. They decided to pop back over to visit friends and revisit old memories whilst on their trip around Europe. They saw the perfect opportunity to capture their recent engagement in the city that played such a huge part in their love story.
I was excited when they first got in touch - having lived and worked in Australia myself, I love all things Ozzie!, they expressed how much London meant to them, and we knew instantly that their engagement session needed to be a reflection of this—filled with warmth, nostalgia, and a touch of adventure.

The feel of the Shoot
From the beginning, Alitha and James wanted their engagement shoot to feel completely natural and relaxed having not spent much time in front of a professional camera. They envisioned a session that didn't feel overly posed but instead captured the essence of them while incorporating some of the most iconic sights of London.
To bring their vision to life, I created a mood board which we discussed, ensuring the session felt true to them—effortless, calm, and filled with joy. Their priority was to feel comfortable just like themselves, soaking in the London atmosphere whilst sharing genuine moments together. It was all about celebrating their connection - which was clear to see!

London’s Iconic Backdrop
With so many stunning locations to choose from, we carefully planned our route to incorporate some of London’s most picturesque spots. From crossing charming bridges to the buzz of the underground, every location played a part in telling their story. One of the must-have shots in my opinion? The iconic London underground - The Tube. The underground has always been a defining part of London life with it's iconic red doors, and we made sure to incorporate it in a way that felt fun and paparazzi-style photojournalistic to their experience in the city.

"If you're wondering about whether to pick Cherrelle as your photographer, don't look any further because she will be the one for you!"
What Alitha & James Said About Their Experience...
We came all the way from Australia, looking for an engagement photographer and Cherrelle made the process so easy! When we first communicated our ideas of what we wanted, she really took on board and collaborated and created a vision board that we loved.
On the day, she went above and beyond, scouting locations ahead of time before we arrived. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and directing us, as it was our first time doing something like this. It was really great getting to know her over the whole process. Through our shared love of travel, we found her to be truly a great fit! Her passion for photography really shone through with her laughter and excitement taking our photos, we really couldn't have asked for a better person. Her skills and professionalism before and on the day were impressive and we had so much fun with her.
The photos came out amazing and beyond what we imagined. We have shared them with friends and family and commented how great they turned out. Thank you so much!"
Regent’s Park Romance
Between the on/off bursts of rain (typical London!), we wandered through the drizzly but beautiful gardens of Regent’s Park. The lush greenery, peaceful pathways, and colourful florals starting to blossom, provided a country garden feel amongst the hustle and bustle of the city for their engagement photos. We embraced the great British weather
From Regent’s Park, we made our way out onto Park Crescent, a contrast to the natural greenery of the park with it's grand architecture, capturing some stunning portraits along the way.

Cute walk by the London Eye
How could we not pop by the iconic London Eye during our mini tour of London! Its stunning presence against the London skyline offered an incredible backdrop, especially for some cute shots with the umbrella shielding them

Sun at South Bank and Westminster - engagement photos along the River Thames
With a little sunshine trying to make an appearance, we took a relaxed walk around South Bank heading towards Westminster Bridge and Big Ben (Elizabeth Tower). The sun peeked through the clouds just enough to add to Alitha and James' cute little shy giggles. The stunning views of the River Thames, the London skyline, and Big Ben added a perfect touch to their London engagement photos.

Covent Garden Engagement
As the day was coming to an end, we made our way over to Covent Garden for a quick, final stop. Originally, we didn’t think we would have time to make it over there, but we managed to squeeze in a quick 10-minute walk through. Covent Garden’s charming cobblestone streets and vibrant atmosphere made for a perfect feel good factor to end their shoot on.
