Hannah & Fred's Wholesome Wedding at Kimberley Hall
Hannah and Fred's wedding at Kimberley Hall was full of colour, personality and so many personal touches. From the bright flowers and bridesmaid dresses to Fred's incredible waistcoat and the details celebrating their families and cultures, there was something happening everywhere you looked.
They chose to celebrate at Kimberley Hall in the Norfolk countryside, with an outdoor ceremony overlooking the grounds followed by a relaxed reception and an evening that very quickly turned into a proper party.
But underneath all the colour and energy, there was something really wholesome about their day. Their families were involved throughout, so many of the details had been made especially for them, and their guests brought such a lovely atmosphere from beginning to end and so many brilliant little moments to photograph.
Kimberley Hall, a beautiful wedding venue in Norfolk
Kimberley Hall is such a beautiful setting for a Norfolk wedding, with the historic Hall surrounded by countryside and views stretching across the grounds towards the lake. There’s a real sense of exclusivity to it, while everything you need is still close enough that the day flows naturally.
Hannah and Fred made the most of the grounds with their ceremony outside in front of the Hall, surrounded by colourful flowers and with that incredible view behind them. Being able to get ready on site also meant I could move between both preparations in the morning, as well as photographing guests beginning to arrive outside.
From a photography point of view, there’s so much variety without needing to take you away from your wedding for too long 〜 the Hall itself, the gardens and grounds, the lake and all those beautiful views across the Norfolk countryside.
Getting Ready at Kimberley Hall
Hannah and Fred both got ready at Kimberley Hall, which meant I could spend time with each of them throughout the morning while everything was starting to come together.
Hannah got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids in the Hall's bridal suite, while Fred spent the morning with his groomsmen at the on-site cottage before getting into that incredible waistcoat 〜 easily one of my favourite details from the day. Being in the same place meant I could move between them both, capturing all the little moments happening on each side without anything feeling rushed.
I always love photographing this part of the day. There’s a mixture of excitement, last-minute finishing touches and that change in atmosphere as everyone starts getting ready to head to the ceremony.
An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Kimberley Hall
Hannah and Fred held their ceremony outside in the grounds of Kimberley Hall, with the Hall behind them and views stretching out across the Norfolk countryside. Colourful flowers flowed down the aisle in the ceremony space, tying in beautifully with the rest of their day.
The ceremony itself was really personal, with Fred's sister singing and one of their friends playing guitar. Having people they loved involved made it feel even more special, while their guests' reactions gave me plenty of those little moments happening around them to photograph too.
And with the ceremony taking place outside, everyone could head straight into the gardens afterwards to celebrate 〜 no disappearing off or big change of setting, just hugs, drinks, conversations and everyone enjoying being together.
Colour ran throughout Hannah and Fred’s whole day, from the flowers and bridesmaid dresses to Fred’s waistcoat and all the little details they had chosen for the reception ~ Everything had personality.
There were also so many personal touches celebrating their families and cultures, including traditional family flags and the handmade crocheted versions of Hannah and Fred (which were possibly two of the cutest wedding details ever).
I always love photographing details like these because they tell you so much about the people behind the wedding. They’re also often the things you’ve spent months choosing, finding or making, so having them documented amongst everything else means years later you can remember all those little pieces that made up your day.

Relaxed Wedding Photography at Kimberley Hall
Once the meal was over, it was time for the evening celebrations to kick off 〜 and Hannah and Fred definitely knew how to celebrate!
The live band welcomed them onto the dance floor for their first dance, with their family flags draped around them. It was such a lovely moment and a really fun way to start the evening.
From there, the dance floor filled up and the party properly got going!
